Donations

While grant funding and membership fees in part support Age & Opportunity's services, we rely greatly on private donations.  We are fortunate to have so many members and committed community members who give of their own time and money to keep our work going. A&O is a charitable organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, who are entrusted to use your gift in the most effective ways to support our programs and services.  Tax receipts are issued for all donations over $10.00.

Your gift will help do so many things.

Your gift will help support Age & Opportunity programs, improve facilities, and undertake research to help serve seniors in our community and educate the public.  All the programming and resources you have seen and used at your Age & Opportunity Senior Centre or in the community, have been supported in part by private donations like yours.  No doubt you've already seen the difference you can make!

For example, your gift will partially support programs including yoga and arts & crafts classes,fraud prevention counselling, friendly visiting services for socially isolated services, counselling and support services to older victims of crime or Elder Abuse, information and referral services to seniors and/or their families and friends, legal and income tax services, and many more.  Also, it will help maintain our facilities, to ensure our Senior Centres have well-maintained equipment, games, library materials and other resources.  Thirdly, it will help support our ability to ensure that older adults have access to all these services and resources.

Choose a giving option to suit you:

You may choose to give to Age & Opportunity directly, to help meet our immediate needs.  Alternatively, you may give to the Age & Opportunity Endowment Fund - administered by the Winnipeg Foundation - where your gift will grow and continue to support Age & Opportunity services for untold years to come.

Or Leave a Legacy:

You may also wish to remember Age & Opportunity in your will, recognizing the difference we have made in your life and will make to seniors in the future.
