All of us share the experience of growing older. As we age we face many changes and sources of stress: retirement, children leaving home, the death of a family member and problems associated with illness. We may feel a debilitating loneliness as we face these stresses. While these changes are difficult, they can be overcome. The way we cope depends on our lifestyle, our ability to plan for change, our relationships with family and friends and our willingness to stay interested and involved with life.

Age & Opportunity’s social work services are designed to assist older persons to maintain as independ ent a life s tyl e as po s s i b le. Seniors or concerned family members are encouraged to contact the social work staff for information and follow-up. Our social work department is committed to the development of new programs and services based on the expressed needs of older pers ons and their families and is always open to suggestions and ideas.
